Day 1. WELCOME TO COSTA RICA. Arrival to the International Airport Juan Santamaria. Meet and Great by our tour guide. Transfer to Gay Hotel Colours or similar with afternoon and evening at leisure for explore the rich gay night life of San Jose. Recommended places to visit: La Avispa Discoteque, Bochinche, Club Oh and Puchos Night Club. Upon arrival you will receive a full list of the most important gay places of Costa Rica.
Day 2. ARENAL VOLCANO (B, L, D). In the morning, departs to Arenal Volcano by a scenic rout. After 3 hours bus ride, we’ll get the magnificent view of this perfect cone and arrive to Arenal Volcano Inn. After check in and lunch, you will visit Baldi Hot Springs where you will enjoy the rest of the day swimming and having a great time in this unforgettable paradise. After dark and from this enchanted spot, with a little god luck, you will have the opportunity to see the volcano activity and the red incandescent lava flowing down from the top of the crater to the adjacent areas. You simply must experience Baldi Hot Springs. It is one of the most beautiful places you'll ever see. With views of Arenal Volcano, acres of tropical gardens, a great climate, and the soothing water of the river, most people consider this to be Paradise on Earth. Baldi is incredible! The River begins inside Arenal Volcano. The magma heats the water to 101 degrees, which then flows through the base of the volcano down about 3/4 mile to Baldi Hot Springs. From here the river splits into several smaller rivers, joining with cool water from a different river to make dozens of pools of varying temperatures, shapes and sizes. These rivers meander through acres of verdant tropical gardens, which create a magical atmosphere. Dinner included at this paradise. Overnight in Arenal at Hotel Arenal Paraiso or similar.
Day 3. A FREESTYLE DAY IN ARENAL (B). Customize your vacation with the included adventure of your choice. Select the tour of your preference:
- Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge: Visit one of the best places for wildlife in Costa Rica. This area is known as a biological corridor between Costa Rica and Nicaragua. See many species of birds, 3 types of monkeys, caiman, iguanas, sloth's, and more.
- Safari Adventure Boat: Enjoy a relaxing 2 hour float with no motor, only the incredible sounds of nature around you. Our expert bilingual naturalist guide will describe the many different flora and fauna of the region.
- Horseback Riding to Arenal Volcano: It is the perfect horseback riding tour in this area. As we come closer to the volcano, we ride through rivers and tropical rain forest, and enjoying the magnificent Arenal Volcano.
- ATV Tour: ¿ Where are we going? We start on the ATV ARENAL TOURS base after a little explanation about how to drive the ATV and safety rules. We road to La Fortuna Waterfall, next after this we go to Jauri Town to watch different kinds of plantations, we followed to La Guaria Town looking for the Arenal River, right there we have time for a little snack; with a refreshing shower finishing soon to return to the base and its respective hotel.
- Arenal Mountain Biking: With a moderate ranking, we offer you a mountain bike tour in one of the best-suited area of Costa Rica: the region of Arenal Volcano with its lush vegetation and excellent views.
• La Fortuna on Horseback: A 90-minute horseback ride and short hike through the forest bring you to this spectacular waterfall.
• Hike Arenal Volcano: This hike takes you along the base of the volcano along forested trails and recent lava flows.
• Hanging Bridges: 15 hanging bridges wind their way through the forest, some with views of Arenal. Explore high in the canopy for an up-close observation of the rainforest’s flora and fauna.
• Canopy Tour: Adrenaline-rushing adventure awaits – with 12 platforms and over 1,000 feet of cable strung through the tree tops. Gain a new perspective of the rainforest as you “fly” through the trees, safely attached by harness to the steel cables.
• Lake Arenal kayaking: You will embark in first class touring kayaks and spend a day paddling in the lake's calm waters while the beautiful view and energy of the Arenal Volcano penetrates your soul.
• Venado Caves: Be prepared to squeeze through small holes, crawl through tight passages, climb small rock formations, crawl on your stomach with only your head above water in a narrow tunnel as fish swim by, or walk up small waterfalls.
• Safari Kayaking. Relax and enjoy a day of heightened emotions on the quiet waters of the Peñas Blancas River. Afternoon, free time at leisure. Lunch and dinner on your own unless a meal is included in your selection.
Day 4 MONTEVERDE. (B) After have breakfast, you will start the trip to the next destination. Monteverde. A 3 hours bus ride will take us into the clouds of the mountains of this fascinating region. Our destination: Hotel El Establo where you will have the rest of the day for relax and enjoy the place. Lunch & Dinner on your own.
Day 5. FREESTAYLE DAY IN MONTEVERDE (B). Customize your day with the included adventure of your choice. Please select one option.
-Rainforest Train: The Trainforest is a small-scale replica of an old-time train, created with the aid of modern electricity in order to guarantee the safety of our clients. The train will take tourists around the rainforest of Monteverde, providing them with a guided tour via train car, from which tourists can observe the majestic Arenal Volcano and the marvelous rainforest, with its tremendous diversity of flora and fauna, while specially trained guides explain the natural beauty that visitors will encounter throughout their trip.
-SkyTrek: SKY TREK is a secure system of trails and zip lines, in the Monteverde Cloud Forest that offers visitors the opportunity to observe and appreciate the nature from different vantage points.- SkyWalk: SKY WALK is a combination of suspension bridges and platforms built in the cloud forest, that offers an opportunity to explore the forest canopy in a safe and easy manner.
- Horseback Riding Cloud Forest & Farms: Ride with an experienced Costa Rican cowboy and enjoy the wonderful scenery of the Monteverde zone. This ride is not in the forest allowing the rider to have a better open view of the surrounding countryside as well the Gulf of Nicoya.
- Horseback Riding to San Luis Waterfall: This waterfall is over 100 feet high! A great way to visit the San Luis waterfall is on horse. This ride takes a total of 5.5 hours. Not all of the time is spent on a horse as you will need to hike along the river to reach the waterfall.
- Monteverde Coffee Tour: Learn about Monteverde's Coffe in our uniquye coffe tour. On the tour you'll see the whole process, from the farm to your cup.
- Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve Nature Walk: This large reserve is one of the most outstanding wildlife sanctuaries in the Americas and includes eight distinct ecological zones. It protects more than 400 species of birds and over 100 species of mammals.
- Sugar Mill & Typical Farm Tour: A Costa Rican Family project that offers visitors a two hour long guided tour. It begin with a walk on our farm where our guests will learn about the production of sugarcane, coffee, and the traditional ways of cultivating bananas, local legumes, avocado, macadamia nuts as well as other products. A very interesting tour where you will be able to learn how all those products are processed.
In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to take a look of the Town of Santa Elena and its beautiful souvenirs stores, Art Galleries, Cheese Factory and Butterfly Garden. Lunch & Dinner on your own.
Day 6. QUEPOS - MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK. (B) Morning: Departure to the beautiful Manuel Antonio National Park on the Pacific Coast. Arriving at Hotel Villa Roca or similar in the middle afternoon, you will have the chance to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings and relax in the swimming pool or explore the most popular Gay bars & Clubs of Manuel Antonio. Lunch & Dinner on your own.
Day 7 – MANUEL ANTONIO TOUR. (B) Customize your day with the included adventure of your choice. Select the tour of your preference. Some options includes lunch.
-Savegre River Rafting: Experience a trip of pure unsurpassed beauty, luxuriant vegetation, and exploding whitewater on this full day tour for the adventuresome beginner and experienced rafter. -Manuel Antonio Park Nature Walk: Take a natural history walk into the rainforest of Manuel Antonio National Park . Your bilingual naturalist guide will point out the great diversity of wildlife you might otherwise miss, and will explain the history and geography of the area. Lush tropical jungle surrounding beautiful, pristine beaches is your playground for the day. Three-toed sloth, iguanas, raccoons, white nosed coatis, agoutis, and other native mammals can be seen amid an unimaginable variety of rare plant species.
-Canopy Safari: Sail high above the rainforest canopy and experience Manuel Antonio most popular adventure sport: the canopy zip line. This exhilarating tour was actually invented in Costa Rica, and has since been featured on the Discovery Channel. This is an adventure for people of all ages and interests, and is certainly one of the highlights of Costa Rica. Canopy Safari provides tourists a unique activity and ecological experience!
-Sunset Sail: Your adventure aboard our sail-ships begins as you sail down the scenic coast, past the beautiful beaches and islands of Manuel Antonio National Park. As the boat glides quietly under sail you'll probably see dolphins, which frequently swim in the boat's bow wake. Occasional whales and giant sea turtles are a special thrill, and even the most avid wildlife enthusiast enjoys the ever-present abundance of sea birds. Enjoy of this aquatic paradise while attending to your safety and comfort. Day 8. FREE TIME. (B) A great opportunity for explore the surroundings on your own. A Good recommendation is to visit “Playita”, the best gay beach in Costa Rica. Afternoon, land transfer to San Jose. Upon arrival, Check In at Hotel Sleep Inn. Evening, free time at leisure. Last chance for explore San Jose Night Gay Life. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Day 9. GOOD BY. (B) Transfer to the International Airport at scheduled flight and good bye.

SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE: The shuttle bus is a service we have, where a maximum of 6 passengers travel in the same vehicle. By this way, we reduce the price of the transfer service and can arrange more economical packages. The service is very good, door to door, with recent model vehicles, full insured and A/C.

DEPARTURE DATES: All our options are available all year around and we just need your travel dates in order to check the hotel's availability and arrange it.
HOW BIG ARE THE GROUPS: Our vacations are operated in an independent basis and you will not travel as part of a group unless you are part of a group. However, during the transfers and Daily Tours you will travel with other tourist we might have for that particular activity or service.
HOW TO RESERVE THIS PACKAGE: Please send an email to info@greenwaytours.com with as much as information you can about your desired vacation, number of participants, arrival dates, name of the package you are interested on and any other special requirements. Once you receive our confirmation form, a 20% deposit is due. Full payment due 60 days prior to departure.
CAN I CUSTOMIZE A PACKAGE: Yes, you can use our packages as a base and make any change on it. We are very flexible. If these packages do not fit on your desired vacation, just send an email to us and we can prepare a new option for you.
AIRFARE IS NOT INCLUDED: All our options includes the Land Portion only. Airfare must be on your own and indicate your arrival and departure dates to us in order to arrange the hotel's bookings.
HOTEL CATEGORIES: All the hotels used by Greenway Tours had been selected considering the best standards of quality and service. Our Hotels are between 3 and 5 stars. All inspected by our company's owners and managers in order to guarantee an excellent service. At least 50% of our lodging contractors had been certified as Green Companies by the Costa Rican Tourist Board ( Certification in Sustainable Tourism CST ).
