Day by Day Itinerary.
Day 1. WELCOME TO COSTA RICA. Arrival to the International Airport Juan Santamaria. Upon arrival at the San Jose airport, you will be met by one of our representatives how will explain your itinerary, answer any questions and provide you with a packet of vouchers and information about your trip. Transfer to Hotel Villa Tournon and free time at leisure.
Day 2. ADVENTURE COMBO TOUR: ZIPLINE + RAFTING TOUR. (B, L, D). Breakfast at the hotel and Check Out. Early morning pick up for the tour. Costa Rica provides White Water Rafting experiences that take your adrenaline to top levels and fascinating Canopy Tours going high above the treetops. Now you can enjoy the two activities in an extraordinary way. Discover the natural marvels of Sarapiqui; an extensive territory located in the northeastern parts of the country, with a variety of crystal clear rivers, an abundance of beautiful tropical forests and villages inhabited by friendly and laborious people.
Leaving San José the tour traverses the majestic scenery of Braulio Carrillo National Park and arriving in Sarapiqui we will enjoy two adventurous attractions: the Canopy Tour in the middle of a secondary forest with trees of high altitude and after lunch the White Water Rafting in the agitating waters of the Sarapiqui River. The Canopy Tour takes about an hour and a half and the nine cables of different length stretch over the forest with the last one crossing the Sarapiqui River.
The rafting at Sarapiqui River has different levels between class II and class III, presenting vibrant scenery to those who want to participate in this exciting activity. Nine miles of unexpected rapids in combination with calm and relaxing intervals makes this an unforgettable experience for bird watchers and nature lovers.
Overnight in Sarapiqui at Selva Verde Lodge. Dinner on your own.
Day 3. CHOCOLATE TOUR. (B, L, D). During the morning breakfast at the lodge. By mid morning special activity: The Chocolate Tour. In this three-hour activity you will discover the marvels of one of the favorite foods of humankind – chocolate. A plant originating in Mesoamerica with an extraordinarily rich history, cacao, or chocolate, was one of the most important products of the Maya and Aztec, as well as other Central American cultures. The tour includes a guided hike across the Tirimbina suspension bridge to a cacao plantation, as well as to a forested section where you will observe forest species of cacao and how the product originally developed there. During the hike, the natural and cultural history of the cacao tree is explained. Onsite, you will learn about the process by which cacao is processed into chocolate (harvesting, fermentation, drying, milling). There also you may taste different types of chocolate, made from organic chocolate grown by the Association of Amazilla Women of the Caribbean, a group of rural women from Pueblo Nuevo de Guacimo dedicated to the production of organic chocolate.
Afternoon, free time for enjoy the area. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Day 4. ARENAL VOLCANO. (B). During the morning, free time for enjoy the hotel facilities or take any of our multiple optional tours. During the afternoon, land transfer to Arenal Volcano area. Check In at Hotel San Bosco or similar and free time at leisure. The hotel is located right in Fortuna Town, a lovely place where you will be able to explore the highlights of this pictures town on your own. Lunch and Dinner on your own.
Day 5. HORSEBACK RIDE TO FORTUNA WATERFALL TOUR (B). During the morning, tour to the famous Fortuna Waterfall. The length of the tour is approximately four hours, from La Fortuna Town the waterfall is about 5 ½ kilometers to the southeast. A beautiful example of the Costa Rican country site will be found along the way, cattle farms and agriculture, also the chance to see some birds as oropendolas and toucans. Once at the waterfall entrance point, you have to walk five hundred meters into the forest to get to the waterfall, which is 70 meters high. At the base of the waterfall there is a natural pool where you can swim in the fresh water of La Fortuna River for about one hour. Afternoon, free time. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Day 6. TRANSFER TO MANUEL ANTONIO PARK. (B). Enjoy a typical breakfast before the transfer to your next destination: Manuel Antonio National park in the Pacific Ocean. After a 5 hours drive, check in at Hotel Mandarina. Free time for enjoy the rest of the day on your own or relax at the swimming pool. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Day 7. MANUEL ANTONIO PARK – SAN JOSE (B) During the morning free time. We recommend you to take a nature walk into the popular Manuel Antonio National Park. With only 900 hectares, including 12 islands in its vicinity, Manuel Antonio National Park is the smallest and yet the most visited park in the country. This is a guided walk where we will appreciate the park’s importance as a transition zone where the tropical dry forest and rainforest meet. In a relatively short distance, we can appreciate the mangrove wetlands and visit one of the most beautiful beaches on the Pacific coast. Wildlife in the park is abundant, and is likely to have a chance to see sloths, raccoons or any of the three types of monkeys (capuchin, squirrel and howler monkeys). Have reported more than 350 species of birds in the park and surrounding areas is common to see agoutis, armadillos, iguanas and raccoons.
By midday, return to the hotel and check out. By 1:30 PM, land transfer to San Jose and check in at Hotel Villa Tournon. Free time for enjoy San Jose night life. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Day 8. TRANSFER OUT. (B) Transfer to the International Airport accordingly with your scheduled flight and Good bye.

|SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE:||The shuttle bus is a service where a maximum of 6-7 passengers travel in the same vehicle and to the same destination. By this way, we reduce the price of the transfer service and can arrange more economical packages. The service is very good, door to door, with recent model vehicles, full insured and A/C.|
|DEPARTURE DATES:||All our options are available all year around and we just need your travel dates in order to check the hotel’s availability and arrange it.|
|HOW BIG THE GROUPS ARE:||Our vacations are operated in an independent basis and you will not travel as part of a group unless you are part of a group. However, during the transfers and Daily Tours you will travel with other tourist we might have for that particular activity or service.|
